Bourton on the water

Parking

We parked at Bourton Vale Car Park (GL54 2LU), which has dedicated spaces for campervans and motorhomes.

Our Visit:

Bourton on the Water is undeniably one of the hot spots of the Cotswolds, known for the tranquil river that runs through it. There’s a few tourist attractions here, including the popular motor museum (home to Brum) and Birdland. On our visit we just came to see what all the fuss was about.

It is without a doubt a very pretty place and it’s easy to see why so many tourists are drawn here. But there lies the problem, SO MANY tourists are drawn here. So much so that it kind of felt like you were part of the walking dead walking around through the crowds. We had a little wander and then stopped for a milkshake, which was in fact absolutely delicious! After that, we decided there wasn’t much else here for us.

There are lots of lovely pubs and eateries by the water, so if we were in the area again, we may come back for a lunch or dinner reservation but that would be about it.
